LSWF's 4 Nights In August comp SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED!

London Screenwriter's Festival's 1-page screenplay competition had a whopping 241 entries!

I was a reader for the competition again this year and, boy, there were a lot of great entries! This made it a very difficult task to sift through them all and shortlist them. We ended up with  a longlist of 39 entries who made it through to the second read stage.

Today, the SHORTLIST of 12 finalists were announced! Is your script through? What did you think of the competition this year? What did you learn from it?

The screenplays in the final 12 are all very diverse and I'm just as excited as they must be to discover just WHO the winner will be...

Next up is the film challenge! The winning script will be made public at 9am on Friday 7th October, along with a title card, and film-makers will then have until the 21st October to make film from the winning script!

SO exciting!!!

I reckon I need at least another ten years before I dare submit any of my scripts to comps! Big well done to all those who entered this, and congrats to those who've made it this far. Great achievement.
